N Hook, 2 strands worsted weight yarn
Chain multiple of (10 x odd number 15 or higher) plus 3. (Example: 150, 170, 190, 210, etc.) I used 213 for this one.
R1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in next 9. (Ch 10, dc 10) to end. Ch 3, turn.
R2: Dc 10, (ch 10, dc 10) to end.
Rep R2 to desired length.
Braiding:
Using your fingers, pull ch 10 section in second row through ch 10 section in first row. Rep to last row. Rep across.
Edging:
Sc even across bottom and top to “seal” braided sections.
Could you explain the braided part a little more? After pulling the second row through the first row, do you then pull the third row through the second row? When you pull it through the row, do you actually go through a chain? Thanks – it looks beautiful.

To work the “braid” pull the chain 10 section from the second row through the chain 10 section of the first row. Next, pull the chain 10 section from the third row through that, and repeat to the top. Don’t pull through the individual chains; instead, please treat each chain 10 section as if it were a loop on your hook.
Hope this helps.
