Serenity

Please note before we get started. I am in no way affiliated with Joss Whedon or any of the production staff from the wonderful show Firefly or the movie Serenity. I do not have any rights to the ship’s design. This is just my interpretation of the images that this design team worked so hard to bring to the world. So, for the love of all that’s holy, DON”T SELL THIS PATTERN OR ANY ITEMS YOU MAKE FROM IT. Thanks!

  1. Awesome :)

  2. Love your version on the Serenity. I am a fan of the show and will be making one each for my twin boys (20months) and my eldest son (he’s 3). Thank you for the wonderful pattern!

    • You are very welcome! I hope your boys love playing with them. :)

  3. [...] The busiest day of the year was August 23rd with 3 views. The most popular post that day was Serenity. [...]

  4. Wow! This looks so awesome!
    Thank you for sharing.

I am planning to make this and attach it to a hat for myself and my hubby.
I’ll send you a pic when it is done.

    Thanks again,
    Tish

    • Can’t wait to see it!

      Happy hooking,

      Jess

  5. Ooh fantastic! I was chatting with some geeky friends I craft with about the possibility of making Serenity, but they thought it’d be too hard.. and lo and behold I find a pattern. Thank you! :)

Also a question… how would you feel about me maybe making one of these and putting it up for the charity auction at my local Can’t Stop the Serenity event this summer? All proceeds going to charity, and I would make sure to credit you. I’ve been thinking of making something for the auction, and this would be a natural fit. I may also want to modify it slightly (possibly make it bigger and somehow add the Serenity logo on the side if I could figure that out!) if you wouldn’t mind.

Anyway, it was just a thought that occured to me when I saw this 10 minutes ago. :) Feel free to say no, I just thought I’d ask!

    Thanks,
    Julia

    • As long as you credit me and the site, rock out! Browncoats, after all, have to stick together. :)

      Happy hooking!

      Jess

      • Thanks! I’ll let you know if I decide to make it and shall send pictures…

  6. Could you give an estimate of how much wool you used? I haven’t got any grey atm and it’d help me decide how much I should buy :) I was thinking of making this for my parents – they’re total Firefly/Serenity nerds :D (Although if mine turns out looking half as good as yours, I think I might end up making another for myself :3)

    • I used less than 3 ounces of gray yarn, and just a scrap of yellow. Thanks!

      Happy hooking,

      Jess
