Yoda Baby Hat

Please note: This is merely one fan’s interpretation of a character. I am not in any way affiliated with the Star Wars franchise.

H Hook, Worsted Weight Yarn (Pictured using Red Heart in Frosty Green)

Hat:

Instructions: Join each round with a sl st.

Ch 4, join with sl st to form ring.

Round 1: ch 1, 9 sc in ring; join with sl st in first sc

Round 2: ch 3 (counts as dc from here forward), dc in joining space, (2dc in each sc) around

Round 3: ch 3, dc in joining space, dc in next dc, (2dc in next dc, dc in next dc) around

Round 4: ch 3, dc in joining space, dc in next two dc, (2dc in next dc, dc in next two dc) around

Round 5: ch 3, dc in joining space, dc in next 3 dc, (2dc in next dc, dc in next three dc) around

Round 6: ch 3, dc in joining space, dc in next four dc, (2dc in next dc, dc in next four dc) around

Round 7-15: ch 3, dc around

Round 16: ch 1, sc around

Ears:

Left ear:

Ch 17.

  1. Hdc in 2nd ch and across.

    • Thanks! It’s a good toddler sized hat. If you need a different size, you can add or subtract increase rows to get the right size.

  3. Hi. Love the hat!! I’m fairly new to crochet, so if you don’t mind, could you please explain more about increasing to make it adult size?

    • I’m super glad you like it. Increasing is easy, but I’ll admit to being a bit of a goof. As it is, this hat should fit an adult. It fit me. :) IF you want to make it bigger, before you start the rows that are just work even rows, add another row where you are increasing. Hope this helps.
