Materials: 1 skein Cotton yarn (I used Peaches & Creme, 2.5 oz, in Warm Brown for the ones I made), G hook, tennis balls

Ch 2.

R1: Sc 6 in second chain from hook, join with sl st to first sc.

R2: 2sc in each st around, join with sl st to first sc.

R3: (2sc, sc) around, join with sl st to first sc.

R4: (sc 2, 2sc) around, join with sl st to first sc.

R5: (2sc, sc 3) around, join with sl st to first sc.

R6: (sc 4, 2sc) around, join with sl st to first sc.

Note: I alternate between starting with the inc and the sc because it keeps it rounder and less hexagonal.

R7-R8: Sc around.

R9: (sc2tog, sc 4) around, join with sl st to first sc.

R10: (sc2tog, sc 3) around, join with sl st to first sc.

Insert tennis ball.

R11: (sc2tog, sc 2) around, join with sl st to first sc.

R12: sc2tog around, do not join.

R13: sc2tog, sc in st across from current st to close.

Ch 70, sl st in 20th st from hook for handle.

Weave in end.
